Lenten Study Group
Meets every Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. (February 29 to March 28, 2012)
DVD and workbook Embracing an Adult Faith: What it means to be Christian by Marcus Borg invites us to join him in revisiting Christianity's most fundamental questions: Who is God? What does salvation mean? What place does Jesus hold in contemporary Christian faith?
Study and soup supper - All are welcome!!!
Women's Study
1. Beth Moore Study - The Book of Esther
Meets every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to Noon (February 7 to April 3, 2012) - Ladies from all Denominations are welcome!
Esther is a courageous woman of the Bible who came to understand that she was where she was for that time in history and made the decision to act in faith acknowledging, "if I perish, I perish."
2. Women's Study group meets every Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
During the first several sessions we will be watching Hanged on a Twisted Cross: The Life, Convictions and Martyrdom of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. During following sessions we will study the book Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer and eventually we plan to study the Emerging Church, Christians Creating a New World Together.
The Women's group focuses on a new study approximately every four months.
Library
Numerous donated books, DVDs, and training materials are now available to check out in our library, in the north entrance foyer.
